You may not spend a great deal of time in your hallway, however switching up the decor or introducing a new staircase design is one of the most impactful ways to transform the look of your home. If you’re looking for ideas on how you can breathe new life into your entrance hall or landing, then take a look at our latest project below.
This impressive home in Stirling, Edinburgh has undergone an incredible transformation after a year of renovations. The homeowner wanted to bring the hallway into the 21st century while also reflecting his passion for mid-century design. After sitting down with one of our designers, our stunning new Stanza steel staircase was chosen, providing a fitting focal point in this stylish home.
Our original Stanza Steel Staircase concept features a unique steel balustrade that rips up the rule book; its fluid, organic spindles create a regular, repeating pattern that will look great in both stylishly minimal spaces and traditional homes. Available in modern steel or antique brass to complement your décor, the style works beautifully with our selection of timber finishes including oak, sapele, maple, beech or walnut to embrace the trend for combining natural materials with metal.
“I love the way that our Stanza design works in a variety of spaces, making it as adaptable as it is beautiful. Its sculptural spindles are delicate, yet strong; it’s almost like having artwork in the hallway, and yet it doesn’t impose. Instead, it allows light to flow through to light up darker corners and maximise the size of the room.” – Mark, Designer
The curved layout of the staircase works hand in hand with the unique Stanza design leading your eye up to the first level of the home. Even though constructed intelligently out of forged steel and powder coated with a matte black finish the fluid Stanza panels allow light to pass through them, ensuring the staircase takes centre stage without compromising on light.
The staircase is at the heart of the house, so it’s important it still feels welcoming and works well with the rest of the property. As a contrast to the dark laser-cut spindles, a light oak finish was used for the handrails, risers, newel posts and threads giving the space a contemporary yet warm feel.
If you’re considering a steel staircase renovation, there are plenty of design options to explore. Even if your home has original or unusual architectural features to consider, each staircase is entirely bespoke and engineered to fit even awkward spaces with millimetre perfect precision.
