We took inspiration for our new Thornbury design from a combination of the decadence of the 30s Art Deco era and the opulent cabinetry found in some of the worlds grandest hotels.

Art Deco began in early 20th century Paris and was quickly adopted by high society as the design that encapsulated a modern and progressive look. Angular shapes and the quality materials used, such as chrome, glass and monochrome lacquered finishes typify this era. Handcrafted details gave the style a character that was, and still is, unique and highly sought-after. Its influences were reflected in ‘futuristic’ projects such as New York’s Chrysler Building – still an architectural icon today.

We have taken the most stylish elements of Art Deco and translated them into a bedroom furniture design like no other. Our key feature is the unique, hand-laid quilted silver Maple veneer with contemporary straight grain veneer in Argento. Its distinctive, geometric styling is softened by warm grey and beige tones – a modern twist on the movement’s signature monochrome palette.

Just like the pioneers of the Art Deco, we have upturned the conventions of design to create original bedroom storage that suits your lifestyle. A sumptuous walk-in wardrobe is a truly indulgent feature. Away from the usual chest of drawers or wardrobe, our boutique dressing room stores everything including your most loved shoes, jewellery, favourite ties or essential shirts, conveniently hidden away behind sleek doors yet perfectly organised in pull-out storage racks.

The Hammered Honeycomb motif handles on all cabinets are a finely tuned and inspired finishing detail that add definition to the Art Deco design. Accessorise in rich fabrics such as fur, satin and silk in soft, tonal shades; add Anglepoise lamps and mirrored photo frames and to create an overall effect of Art Deco deliciousness.
